My rating is based on the fact that my blower wheel, and my neighbors, both failed within 3 years of installation. Each of the 52 blower blades is fastened to the center and outer blower wheels by swaging. The 52 swages to the center wheel transmit motor torque to the assembly. In both cases, all 52 of the swages to the center wheel failed, and allowed the blades to rotate with respect to the center wheel. This takes the assembly out of balance and allows the blades to rattle, which results in a screeching sound and a lot of vibration until the part fails catastrophically. My neighbor and I have replaced our blower wheels with new parts of identical part number and are concerned these parts will ...
